The MUSIKGARTEN program is a sequential music learning program for children as young as birth up through group piano age. It is the most pedagogically sound program available. With it's aural Emphasis, we emphasize active, thoughtful participation, not entertainment. We emphasize movement, not visual stimulation. Musikgarten is unique in these respects. Research documents that kids today are over-stimulated visually and need purposeful movement and music training now more than ever.
The program takes a holistic approach to music education, allowing the child to combine motor skills, active listening, language, and social interaction while promoting listening, singing, rhythm, movement and ensemble skills. Each Musikgarten session is designed according to how children learn and develop. Our curricula are uniquely effective because we have designed learning sequences that repeat and build patterns to continually reinforce and stimulate our students. Musikgarten is a fun and exciting program that will instill a life-long love of music in any child!
