Peggy Durbin, a clarinetist, earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from ClarionStateUniversity in Pennsylvania. She also earned a Master of Education degree fom the University of Louisville in Kentucky. She has 7 years experience teaching elementary music, directing children's choirs and teaching instrumental music in Pennsylvania, Georgia,Germany and Maryland. She became a licensed Kindermusik teacher in 1994 and has been selected as a member of the Kindermusik International Maestro Program in recognition of her superlative teaching performance.
Peggy and her husband, Bob, are the parents of two daughters, Emily & Elizabeth. Emily is a student at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh studying creative writing and art. Elizabeth is a senior at Centennial High School. Both girls participated in Kindermusik as children.
Peggy's goal is to help families cultivate a lifelong love of music and learning through the high-quality, developmentally appropriate musical experiences that Kindermusik provides. |
