7) Sync your device(s).
- For iOS devices (iPhone, iPod, iPad) drag and drop the files into your music library in iTunes and sync your device. Please note that iTunes also allows you to create playlists and albums of the music that can be synced to your device. In ITunes, click FILE (upper left corner), then ADD TO LIBRARY, then click the file on your computer.
- For Android devices (ex. Samsung Galaxy Phones and Tabs) plug in the device to your computer and drag the files to the device’s Music folder. To create playlists and albums, make sub-folders within the Music folder and drag the music files there. (I do not have these devices so have not tried.)
DOWNLOADING DIRECTLY TO DEVICES (INSTEAD OF COMPUTER)
(I have not tried this method.)
Musikgarten digital music files are stored in a zip folder. Since the majority of devices (cell phones, IPad, tablets, etc.) cannot open a zip file you will first need to download a zip file extractor app.
For Android devices and Kindle:
1) There are several zip file extractors you can download from the Google Play store or Apps Store on your Kindle, but we recommend the free version of B1 Archiver. Download this to your device; once this is downloaded move to step 2.
2) If you are new to the Musikgarten Digital Music site, click on “Click here to register” in the white box in order to create your account and register your album with the code from your parent book.
If you are returning to the site, log in to your existing account. On the top of the next webpage register your new album code.
3) Download full album. This will download to your device as a zip file and will take a few minutes.
4) Go to your downloads folder – this will differ for each device.
For Kindle Fire see this video.
5) Click on zip folder. This should automatically pull up your zip file extractor and give you several options; you can extract here, extract to a new folder, etc. Make your choice and music files will be extracted. For Android phone, move the extracted files to your music folder. The Kindle will automatically sync.
For Apple iPad, iPhone:
1) Download the free iZip App. Download this to your device; once this is downloaded move to step 2.

4) Open the zip file in iZip and extract the files.
5) You can then play the album.
